The Podium Café team are looking for a full-time Catering and Hospitality Assistant. Join our casual, high-speed & exciting workplace. You’ll be joining our established team as to provide unmatched customer experiences, serve delicious speciality coffee & food prepared with passion to our patrons.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Café Crew with day-to-day operations of Podium Café
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Support the catering team in setting up and dismantling catering events, ensuring all equipment is handled with care.
• Provide excellent guest services by interacting positively with clients and attendees during events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
• Help with bartending duties as required, including serving beverages and managing bar supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery and address any guest needs promptly.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors.

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation or catering is preferred; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with hospitality environments such as restaurants, hotels, or event venues is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and helping others within the team environment.
• Experience or willingness to serve alcohol; training will be provided.
• Must be willing to provide a reference.

Pay: £11.44-£12.50 per hour
