Overview
The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is a rare variant of the 5.0 V10 Gallardo with only 618 being produced worldwide. Superleggera translating to super light in Italian, it is 100KG lighter than the standard model reaching 0-60 in 3.8 Seconds and onto 196 mph. This was through many modifications unique to the Superleggera to take it into a class above the standard Gallardo.
Weight reduction was accomplished with a polycarbonate rear window and thinner front windscreen which was complimented by a catalogue of carbon fibre panelling throughout. Consisting of; engine cover, fixed rear wing, rear diffuser, under trays, side skirts, wing mirrors, single piece Sparco carbon bucket seats, and single piece Sparco carbon bucket seats, interior door panels, hand brake, centre console with gauge cluster, and Superleggera door sills. Power was increased by 11bhp to 523 Bhp through improved intakes and exhaust manifolds that increased the redline to 8000RPM, accompanied with uprated carbon ceramic brakes with 8 piston brake callipers front and rear. The drivetrain of the Superleggera also received exclusive updates to further reduce weight and parasitic losses. Consisting of; magnesium front differential housing, magnesium gearbox housing, Lightened front drive shafts, and lightened Prop shaft. Accompanied with unique suspension changes such as; Custom Front upright control arms, Bilstein sports shocks and springs, Speedline forged wheels, improved anti-roll bars.

Registered in July 2008, this 4-owner example has only 30,500 Miles and is finished in Nero Noctis gloss paintwork with Alcantara interior, bronze Speedline forged wheels, carbon ceramic brakes and a custom exhaust system. Being a Superleggera, it benefits from all of the factory upgrades making it a stunning specification of carbon fibre throughout with performance to back it up. Covering the majority of it's miles in the first five years of life, it has since been used sparingly for special occasions as to preserve the car better. Being an older car that was used it has some paintwork imperfections. The drivers front wing has slight paint burn from a previous owner and the front end has multiple stone chips from road use. This does not take away from the car and it still presents very well. Other than this the car has been well looked after with great service history.
The Drive
Upon start up this Gallardo Superleggera demands attention with its custom exhaust. Clicking the E gear transmission into first and pulling away requires commitment from the driver as to not slip the clutch, letting you know that you need to be confident with driver inputs. Once rolling the magic of the Superleggera begins to set in, giving an old school supercar feel in a more modern chassis. Effortless torque and the glorious high pitched exhaust note kicking in above 4000RPM, encourage revs to be kept high and gears to be changed less frequently. This is a car that encourages fun and makes driving an occasion.
